Clouseau and Florida

Clouseau was sleeping like this the other day. He was like that for a good couple of hours. I was giving him a belly rub, and then he just fell asleep like that.
I am leaving for warm sunny Florida tomorrow morning! I have to leave warm sunny California! I am so excited because I have never been to Florida, and because I will be staying in Leesburg for a few days with my Dad and his wife Shirley. After some fun there, they are dropping me off in Mexico Beach, FL, where I will be painting for a couple of weeks. My Dad and Shirley are then driving up to New England for the summer. So I won't be posting anything until I get back! Miss you!

Have fun visiting your Dad and chilling in Florida. Watch out for the weather if you're outside painting. When we were living in Georgia it poured everyday at 4:00 pm.

Florida sucks! I feel bad for you. I hope you like Cockroaches because in Florida, they have 'Palmetto Bugs' which are cockroaches with wings and they like to hang out on the window screens. Its way too hot & muggy. I was in Florida once in April of 1978. They were building Epcot Center (or were about to- I forget) and Ted Bundy was still all over the news down there. I remeber seeing the space shuttle & getting pissed because they weren't going to launch it until 1981!! I remeber hounding my mom for a "Saturday Night Fever" iron-on I saw at the Orlando mall because the "Star Wars" one I wanted was "sold out". No dice. The raindrops were like golf balls and there were toads the size of dimes. Have fun.

OH- And these are the GREATEST!... THE GREATEST sleeping kitty pics ever! I can still see your finger trails! Oh my GOD! I can't wait to meet these two! I just got a "cat attack".. gotta go!

And this is pretty much the position that the cat on my street sleeps by the side of the road- except he's not as vibrant and looks like he lost some air.

I'd blocked out the Palmetto bugs! Ahhhhhh. Huge things, at least 2 1/2 inches. But you'll love the oaks and spanish moss. E-mail us when you get back so we'll know you're online again. Have fun!

We will be getting some bug spray today. The young gal arrived at Orlando with stuff for her Panhandle outing. We did some catching up and head North in the morning. A short boat ride on the canals and lakes today and then out for Italian at Luigi's tonight. Then it's off on another adventure.
